Does hydraulic fluid or gas conduct electricity?

I dropped my ipod touch in a small catch bucket of mostly hydraulic fluid with a little high octane auto fuel. My ipod still worked but had fluid entrapped in the screen so I shut it off and ordered a new screen. But will it short out if it made its way inside? The hydraulic fluid is aircraft mineral base 5606.
