Is it wrong to plan my own Baby Shower?

I would steer clear of planning your own Baby Shower. Having a shower prepared by a friend/relative is already seen by some as being "gimme gimme gimme". so you have to pretend you don't want a shower but make it seem like you are obliged to have it to keep the masses happy :) (btw, I decided not to have a shower because I didn't want the negative connotations!) Just let the day be and aenjoy whatever people have decided to do for you and to give to you of their free will. and remember that no one owes you anything. anything you get is a bonus and therefore you should be happy with whatever you get :)
